How to Sell Something That is Invisible

In a city as diverse as Grand Rapids, it's hard to imagine that some neighborhoods

have air quality that is 10x worse than others.

With our unique approach, we were able to show the scale and disparity of Grand Rapids City's air quality.

Clean air is essential for our health and well-being, but unfortunately, most cities only have a single air pollution sensor. This means that we don't have a clear picture of the air quality in different parts of the city. Hive Network is working to change that by placing sensors in every neighborhood. This would allow us to monitor the air quality in real-time and give people the information they need to demand more from their political leaders and businesses.

Our team set out to show the disparity between different neighborhoods in the city and how clean their air was. We chose to use a birds-eye view of the city because it would allow us to show the immense diversity and scale of a city. from this vantage point, viewers could see the drastic difference in air quality between neighborhoods.
